The Tillamook County Futures Council
was established in 1997 by the Board of County Commissioners as an
advisory council. The original purpose of the Council was to
develop a citizen-based, long-range Strategic Vision for Tillamook
County. Today the Futures Council serves as stewards of the
Vision and the on-going countywide visioning process.

Mission of the Tillamook County Futures Council
The Mission of the Tillamook County Futures Council is to serve as stewards of
Tillamook County's Vision and its on-going county wide visioning process.
With this, we'll provide the public with backgrounds on project history, people involved, and current activities.

Tillamook County Futures Council and Oregon State University
Partner for Vital Tillamook Indicators Project.
On August 19, 2008, the Tillamook County Futures Council (TCFC) and Oregon State University (OSU) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together on the Vital Tillamook Indicators Project. This project is a partnership between the two organizations providing an exciting opportunity to work together and engage the community in an effort to assess the progress of the County toward its vision of a vital future.
