| 2010 Strategic Vision Awards and Annual Banquet |
The Tillamook County Futures
Council's third annual Stakeholder and Awards Banquet
was held Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the banquet room at the new Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) facilities on 3rd Street in Tillamook. Over 70 guests including citizens, representatives from government agencies, educators, and business owners came together to honor community members who through their actions have contributed to moving Tillamook County toward its vision for the future as defined by county residents.
The banquet buffet was provided by students of the TBCC Culinary Program directed by Alan Joynson. Futures Council member, David Yamamoto, presented the Vital Tillamook Indicators Project. Futures Council Program Manager, Jane Dunkin, and member, Rob Emanuel, introduced the nominees and reviewed their accomplishments. Our sincere thanks on behalf of Tillamook County to all the nominees for their hard work. Each and every one deserved to win. Congratulations to the 2010 nominees and vision category winners (below - winners in bold).
New Special Awards
After much deliberation it became apparent that the accomplishments of two of the nominees transcended the vision award categories, and this year the Council announced two very special awards.
Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnson received the 2010 Community Benefactor Award for her accomplishments in service to Tillamook County.
Imogene (Imie) Camelli received the Lifetime Service Award for her continuing service to the people of Tillamook County as president of the North County Food Bank.
