Vision of our Society and Culture
Tillamook County citizens will maintain the rural character of their community by conserving a high percentage of the land as farm and forestland. The history of the area and the stories and experiences of early settlers will be valued, recorded, preserved and shared with the Tillamook County community and the world beyond.
A wide variety of events and recreational opportunities throughout the county will be offered, bringing people together. Activities for youth will be abundant and provide an outlet for creativity. People will be valued and respected, regardless of race, culture, or beliefs.
A skilled and professional local government will be personable and accessible to the general public and provides ample opportunities for citizen involvement in the decision making process.
